Streams negotiate between M3U8 (HLS) / TS (MPEG-TS) / H.264 / HEVC H.265. In practice, the 60fps ESPN feed and DAZN PPV events push HEVC at 8–12 Mbps. Standard definition regional channels (Bhojpuri, Odisha, Malayalam) sit comfortably at 1.2–2.5 Mbps on H.264.

On a 100/20 Mbps fiber line I saw zero buffer stalls. On a 50/10 cable connection, the 4K classic movie shelf needed the player’s buffer cache set to at least 10 seconds to survive ISP mid-stream throttling. If your ISP applies QoS shaping on port 80 (which is where this portal lives), you may notice a 2–4 second initial handshake delay before the first frame. That’s normal for Stalker middleware—it’s fetching the channel map before the TS segment starts.

The Stalker middleware ships its own EPG feed, but on TiviMate the XMLTV source needs a manual nudge.
